Board-Certified Dermatologists

A dermatologist is a medical doctor who specializes in treating the skin, hair, nails and mucous membranes (e.g. lining inside the mouth, nose, eyelids and genital skin) and is an expert in achieving the most aesthetically beautiful skin possible.

To be a board-certified dermatologist in the United States requires at least 12 rigorous years of education after high school. This education includes college, medical school, internship and dermatology residency. After successfully completing the residency program, one can only become a board-certified dermatologist by passing the board exams given by the American Board of Dermatology, which are among the most rigorous of all medical fields. All of the above steps are essential to providing the highest standards of patient care in dermatology.

The training and education do not stop there. Due to advances in medicine, dermatologists who successfully passed the board exams must continue to meet stringent requirements to maintain board certification including retaking board exams every ten years of practice.

All of our dermatologists are medical doctors who graduated at the very top of their medical school classes, excelling in required clinical rotations including medicine, pediatrics, surgery and obstetrics and gynecology. Our doctors then completed an internship in general medicine before completing a three-year dermatology residency. Every one of our doctors is board certified and is a fellow in good standing of the prestigious American Academy of Dermatology.
